All fibers offered here are raw, unwashed, unprocessed, just as it comes off the animal (unless otherwise specified). There will be some VM (hay, weeds, dirt), but we try our best to keep this at a minimum and what is there, shakes out easily when processing and spinning. There's no extra charge for the debris!
We're always adding new products, so check back often. And, if you don't see what you need, just ask, we can probably find it for you.
This roving is a beautiful natural gray silver color.
This roving is a lovely natural soft brown color.
CHEVIOT -- $6.00 per pound -- This is some of our local Cheviot from Carol Nash. The Cheviot has a medium fine fleece and a generous staple length of 4 to 5 inches which made it the foundation fiber of the world renowned Scotch Tweed industry. It is easy to spin and is very durable -- a great choice for socks and sweaters. There is some VM in these fleeces that shakes out easily when processing and spinning.

ROMNEY -- $6.00 per pound -- This is some of our local Romney from Annabelle Lombard. Romney is a medium coarse wool, but everyone around here knows that Annabelle's Romney has an exceptionally soft handle and would be good for any of your projects, even those projects worn next to the skin.
Most of this Romney is at least 5 inches, some more than 6 inches. Annabelle's Romney is VERY clean with just a little VM that shakes out when processing and spinning.

MILLIE - ROMNEY X HAMPSHIRE -- WHITE -- $6.00 per pound -- This is from my own Millie who has medium grade wool that would make warm outerwear projects and durable enough for socks, blankets and throws. There is some VM that shakes out easily when processing and spinning. Staple length is about 4 inches. The color washes up to a nice white and takes dye easily.

ROVING
All of our roving is cleaned and carded the old-fashioned way, gently, without the use of harsh chemicals or industrial equipment.
ROVING - CHEVIOT -- $3.75 per OUNCE -- This Cheviot comes from the Carol Nash farm. It has a medium-fine fleece with a generous staple length of 4 to 5 inches It is easy to spin, very durable and resists felting, making it a great choice for socks and sweaters and outerwear.

It is very easy to spin and great for beginners. This Romney is very soft and a great choice for any of your spinning projects including next to skin and felt projects.

ROVING - NAVAJO-CHURRO -- $3.75 per OUNCE -- The Navajo-Churro comes from the Carol Nash farm. Navajo-Churro is a medium to coarse grade, but this Navajo-Churro is more towards the medium grade side with a generous staple length of 5 inches or more. It is very easy to spin and felts well. Navajo-Churro is very durable and is what they use to make the beautiful Navajo rugs. It is a great choice for outerwear, blankets and rugs and any of your felting projects.
